A SPIRITUAL CENTER. The POND is a metaphor for humanity. Each molecule of water represents a person or being.
When a pebble, which represents an item of knowledge, or wisdom, or understanding, is thrown into the pond, the whole pond is raised, every molecule, every being.
This site is dedicated to raising the level of the pond, one "pebble" at a time.

This is an exploration of "inner space", regardless in whatever "outer space" you find yourself.
The topics chosen are practical and relevant to everyday life. The "pebbles" offered may be used on a daily basis, or even minute to minute.
The approaches at times may seem familiar, but more often will appear, in some respects, to be the opposite to that which you have been taught, previously. Learning will range from simple and very easy, to simple yet requiring persistence and focus over a longer time period. Still, they will be simple rather than complicated.
SYNTHESIS
Since each "pebble" presented represents a culmination of growth at the point it was written or given, it may appear to represent a synthesis of more than one system of thought, which it is. Understanding is drawn from the scientific world, from every day life, and from spiritual teachings, in order to bring greater consistency and integration to the processes of mind, and to promote a state in which "outer" behaviors more closely reflect "inner" processes.
MISSION
RAISE THE LEVEL OF THE POND is a spiritual organization that recognizes mind/body/spirit inter-connectedness, and that an individual may make improvements in mind, or body, or spirit, and that such improvements in one category may cause improvements in the other two.
Our focus is on spiritual improvements (and often this requires adjusting a person`s mind-set in order to remove barriers to spiritual growth). When spiritual growth occurs, sometimes a person will experience greater well-being in the areas of the physical and the emotional, and these are welcome side-effects of the spiritual learning and growth.
Our focus is on the practical aspects of spirituality, those that can be used and applied routinely, without imposing any need to change external appearances, beyond what comes as a natural consequence to internal changes.

RAISE THE LEVEL OF THE POND is a not-for-profit organization. Although we are categorized as a church, we prefer to designate ourselves as a Spirituality Center.
